Annual Boules Tournament
Sunday 2nd August sees our first Boules Tournament here at the Oak. This is open to anyone and everyone - in teams of 3 please. If there are any oddbods I'm sure we will be able to make up the numbers (you might have Pip on your team though - wingeproof earplugs recommended!). It's only a tenner per team which includes a free burger each from the barbecue. Starting at midday, you will need to register your team in advance, and it will be worth sticking around afterwards for the live music starting around 3pm.

Join us for a Midsummer-ish Night-ish run!!
A pleasant evening with a little run for fun to celebrate midsummer. This small event is ideal for those looking for a pleasant midweek evening out. The 4 mile-ish run is to and from the pub and is along the country lanes around Iden and Rye Foreign.
Competitors set off in groups of four and the times worked out later to find out our winners. Just a fiver to enter and there's a free barbecue for all runners - plus live music to finish the evening.
No medals on offer but plenty of prizes for winners and a spot prize or two.
No entry form either - but it would help if you could let us know you're coming so we can cater for hungry runners.
We look forward to seeing you!

Morris Dancing
This Sunday 24th May, East Surrey Morris Men make their annual visit to our pub. They're a great crowd, and are dancing here from 6.30 onwards. Since we are their last port of call for the day they usually make an evening of it so do come along for some fabulous entertainment - music, dancing, singing, and of course.........drinking!
